Griti is committed to protecting the privacy of your information and has framed the following Privacy Policy to ensure everyone using its services clearly understand how information is collected, used, stored and protected.   • Identifying Information: This refers to the personal information that is collected while registering or using the site and will be used to contact or identify you and provide the services effectively.   • We use Identifying information primarily to provide effective services through our platform and sometimes combine the identifying and non-identifying information. Clubbing information together and aggregating with other users helps us in providing better quality of service by analyzing how the site is used.

  • All mentoring and other educational sessions could be recorded for quality assessment purposes, security reasons or for building a content archive for future use. We will not share recorded content with outside parties.

  • Web logs (used to diagnose problems with servers and to administer the site) are stored indefinitely.

 

  • Griti does not collect information from anyone under 13 years of age. Content posted by such users masquerading as older than 13 years will be removed from the site.

  • We also use firewalls and other systems necessary to avoid unauthorized access of your data.

We will not sell your information to anyone. Information will be disclosed to third parties for only those purposes described below.

 

  • Users: If you use Griti’s services to interact with a mentor through audio/video/chat, you can share your personal information with the concerned mentor. Griti shares your first name with the mentor to enable scheduling an appointment. Grit may share User content made available on the site as per our Terms and Conditions.

 

  • SNS: You have the option to share some information about your account with some social networking sites (SNS), but we will not share any information unless we are authorized by you to do so.

 

  • Service Providers: We use third party providers to enable some services like payment processing. They may gain access to your personal information, which will be restricted to their scope of work only. They are not authorized to disclose information to any other parties.

 

  • Law Enforcement: Griti may disclose personal information to government, law enforcement agencies or with some private parties if required to enforce and comply with the law. If Griti is required to respond to legal claims related to it or third party service providers, it may disclose the information so as to avoid any illegal or unethical activity and to protect the rights of Griti or its partners.

 

  • Mentors: If you register as a Mentor, some personal information such as your name, school, academic background, tutoring experience, areas of interest etc. would be viewable publicly. Grit may share User content made available on the site as per our Terms and Conditions.

 

  • Non Identifying & Aggregate Information: We may share non- identifying information and aggregated information that is non- identifying with third parties for analysis.

 

  • Business Transfers: Griti may share, transfer or sell some or all of its assets during the process of a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets due to bankruptcy and these assets would include your personal information. You will be notified by email and notice on the site regarding the change of ownership and changes to the privacy policy arising thereof.

 

Jurisdiction of Privacy Law

 

  • Data will be stored on servers in the United States of America and since Griti is available across countries where privacy laws may differ, users acknowledge and consent that the data submitted by them will be transferred to the USA and processed in the USA.
